What you need
- The email with your signing link
- A device with a web browser (phone, tablet, or computer)
- A few minutes
Step by step: how to sign
1
Open your link
Click the link in the email from Suresign. The page opens in your browser with the title “Review document.”
2
Enter any required codes
If the sender added extra checks, you must pass them before the document is shown. This may be an access code the sender gave you, a six-digit code emailed to your address, or both. The emailed code expires after 10 minutes. If you are signed in to a Suresign account at the same verified address, the emailed code is not asked again. The access code always is.
3
Review the document
Read the document carefully. Make sure you understand what you are signing.
4
Tap the signature box
Find the place that says “Sign here” and tap it. A panel opens with your choices.
5
Adopt your signature
Pick the method you prefer:
- Choose: Select a styled version of your name.
- Draw: Use your finger, mouse, or stylus to draw freehand.
- Upload: Upload an image of your signature.
6
Check the auto-filled fields
Fields like Date signed, Name, and Email usually fill themselves automatically. Date signed uses the day on your own calendar. Name comes from the sender’s invitation, or your email address if no name was given. Review them to make sure they are correct.
7
Finish
When everything looks right, confirm. Your signature is sealed into the document.
What happens after you sign
You see a screen that says “You’re done.”- If more people need to sign, the document moves to the next person automatically.
- If you are the last signer, the document is sealed. Everyone gets a signed copy by email, together with a certificate of completion.
- You can download your own copy right after finishing.
Your Signature ID
Every signature you leave carries a unique Signature ID. It belongs to you alone: account holders have one from the start, and signers without an account are issued one when they finish. The first 18 characters of your Signature ID are printed beneath your signature in the sealed PDF. This is how your marks are matched to you on the certificate.Signing in any language or script
Suresign supports names in any script, including Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, and more. Your name appears correctly in the signed PDF, shaped properly for the writing system. What if you need to decline
If you do not want to sign, you can decline:1
Find the decline option
Look for the decline option on the signing page.
2
Give a reason
Enter a short reason, such as “I need to review with my lawyer first.” This helps the sender understand.
3
Submit
Tap submit. The sender is notified immediately.
When links stop working
Your signing link is single-use. It stops working the moment you finish signing. Links also stop working when:- The sender cancels the document
- Someone declines the document
- The document expires
- The document is deleted
Is it safe and legal
