# Connect AI assistants to Suresign with MCP (coming soon)

> Suresign plans a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so AI assistants like Claude and Cursor can work with your workspace documents. Learn what to expect.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants, such as Claude or Cursor, connect to outside tools. A Suresign MCP server will let those assistants work with your workspace in the same careful way the built-in [agent](/agent/overview) does.

<Info>
  MCP support is coming soon. This page will be updated with setup steps when it is available.
</Info>

## What it is for

If you already use an AI assistant at work, MCP lets you ask it about your agreements without switching apps. For example: "Which documents are still waiting for a signature?"

## What will not change

The same rules that keep the built-in agent safe are the product's rules, not a prompt's:

* An assistant acts as you, with your role and permissions, never more.
* Anything that reaches another person waits for your approval.
* Every step is recorded in the document's [audit trail](/proof/audit-trail-and-certificate).
* Your documents are never used to train any model.
