# Suresign Agent Credits and Monthly Allowances

> Learn how Suresign agent credits work, what tasks spend them, monthly allowances per plan, where to check usage, and what happens when you run out.

The Suresign agent works on credits. Think of credits as the fuel that powers the agent's tasks, such as drafting agreements, answering questions, and helping in the editorhelping in the editor. Sending documents and collecting signatures do not use credits. Those are always free.

## Credits by plan

Every workspace shares oneworkspace shares one monthly allowance of credits that renews on the 1st of each month.

| Plan | Monthly credits | Roughly covers |
| - | - | - |
| Free | 100 | About 3 drafted and sent agreements |
| Pro | 1,000 | About 33 drafted and sent agreements |
| Business | 5,000 | About 165 drafted and sent agreements |

<Note>
  Unused credits do not carry over to the next month. Your allowance resets on the 1st.
</Note>

If you upgrade to a higher plan mid-month, your allowance rises to the new plan's credits at once. Downgrading keeps what the month started with.

## What spends credits

Different tasks use different amounts of credits.

| Task | Credits used |
| - | - |
| Drafting and sending an agreement | About 30 |
| Asking a question or looking something up | A few |
| Sending a reminder | A few |
| Help in the editor (placing fields) | A few |
| Running an automation | A few per run |

<Tip>
  "A few credits" usually means 1 to 5, depending on how complex the request is. Simple questions use less. Longer tasks use more.
</Tip>

## Where to see your usage

You can check how many credits your workspace has used at any time.

  </Step>

## What happens when credits run out

If your workspace uses all its credits before the 1st, the agent pauses. It will not draft, answer questions, or run automations until the new month begins or you upgrade to a plan with more credits.

<Warning>
  Running out of credits only affects the agent. Sending documents, collecting signatures, templates, and downloads keep working normally. Nothing already sent is affected.
</Warning>

## Tips to save credits

* Draft carefully. A well-written first prompt uses fewer credits than multiple rounds of changes.
* Use templates. If you send the same type of document often, save it as a template and upload it instead of drafting from scratch each time.
* Batch your questions. Ask one detailed question instead of several small ones.
* Review before sending. Catching errors yourself avoids extra revision rounds with the agent.
* Upgrade when needed. If you run out often, the Pro or Business plan may cost less than the time you spend waiting.

<Note>
  Credits have no cash value. They cannot be bought separately, sold, transferred, or refunded.
