# Ask Questions and Take Action with Suresign AI

> Use the Suresign agent to ask questions about documents with exact quotes and page numbers, place fields, chase signers, extend dates, and review everything it does.

The Suresign agent is always available in the chat beside your documents. You can ask it questions, give it tasks, and review everything it has done. Every answer that comes from a document shows the exact words and the page number so you can check it yourself.

<Note>
  The agent is available on every plan, including Free. Press **A** (or **Cmd+J** / **Ctrl+J**) beside any document to open it.
</Note>

## Ask about a document

Open any document and ask the agent what is inside it. You do not need to read every page yourself.

**Example questions:**

* "What does clause 4 say about payment terms?"
* "Who is the first signer and what is their email?"
* "What is the expiry date on this document?"
* "Does this agreement include a non-compete clause?"

When the agent answers from a document, it quotes the exact words and tells you the page number. This lets you check its work in seconds.

## Ask about your whole workspace

You can also ask about everything in your workspace at once. This is useful when you have many documents and need a quick overview.

**Example questions:**

* "Who still has to sign?"
* "What expires this week?"
* "How many documents did we complete last month?"
* "Show me all NDAs sent to Northwind Studio"

<Note>
  The agent remembers facts about your workspace and the people you work with. The more you tell it, the more helpful its answers become.
</Note>

## Ask it to prepare a document

If you upload a PDF instead of drafting from scratch, the agent can still save you time. Ask it to place signature boxes, date fields, and name fields where they belong.

**Example:**

* "Place signature boxes for Alex Chen and Priya Shah at the end of the document"
* "Add a date field next to each signature"

The agent shows the result as dashed boxes on the document. You can accept its work, or adjust the placement in the editor afterward. It also checks its own work. If a signature box lands off a line, overlaps another person's box, or sits beside the wrong name, it flags the problem before you see it.

## Ask it to send, remind, or extend

You can give the agent tasks that change your documents.

**Examples:**

* "Send the offer letter to Jordan Lee now"
* "Remind Priya Shah every 3 days"
* "Extend the consulting agreement by one week"
* "Resend the NDA to Dana Lee"
* "Cancel the expired agreement"

Every task that reaches another person appears on a card in **Needs you** first. You press the button to confirm. Nothing is sent without your click.

## Review the activity list

Everything the agent does is recorded. Open the **Activity** tab on the **Agent** page to see:

* What the agent drafted or changed
* What it sent or reminded
* Which tasks you approved or declined
* Which tasks it asked you about first

Activity is visible to every member of your workspace. Viewers do not see the Activity tab.

## Check the agent's work

Before any document goes out, the agent runs its own checks:

| What it checks | What it looks for |
| - | - |
| Box placement | Is each signature box on a signing line? Is it beside the right person's name? Do any boxes overlap? |
| Draft blanks | Are there still empty brackets like `[amount]` left to fill? |
| Hidden instructions | Does the document contain text trying to give orders to an AI? |

If the agent finds a problem, it tells you on the card or fixes it before showing the result. This is extra safety, not a replacement for reading the document yourself.

<Tip>
  If you are not sure what the agent can do, just ask it. Try "What can you help me with?" and it will show you the options.
